Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 May 2026
Units is built by Homegrown Software Ltd. ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the Units app does with your data, what it doesn't do, and how to get in touch if you have questions.
Summary
- Units does not require an account and does not ask for any personal information.
- We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- The only network requests the app makes are to fetch daily currency exchange rates.
Information we collect
None. The Units app does not contain any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and we do not operate any servers that receive personal information from users of the app.
Your preferences (such as which units you have hidden, the order you've put them in, and the values you've most recently entered) are stored only on your device, and are included in your iCloud and device backups in the same way as any other app data.
Network requests
To keep currency conversions accurate, Units periodically downloads an exchange-rate data file from our server. These requests contain only the standard information sent by every HTTP client (such as your IP address and basic device information from the user-agent string). We do not associate this information with you, do not build profiles from it, and do not share it with third parties.
App Store and TestFlight
Units is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple collects information about app downloads, purchases, and (where enabled by you) crash reports as described in Apple's privacy policy. We may see aggregated metrics provided by Apple (such as download counts and crash reports) but we do not receive personal information about you from Apple.
Children
Units is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, note the change on this website.
